In this context, nickel has become a big dark horse. Caitong Securities believes that Tesla is the industry wind vane, leading the process of high-nickelization of cathode materials. Nickel will be the most promising battery metal in the next ten years. It is predicted that by 2030, the demand for nickel in power batteries will soar tenfold from 139,000 tons in 2020 to 1.4 million tons, accounting for 30% of total nickel demand.
